For 2026 the compulsory first minimum was R24 175 for residence students and R12 855 for non-residence and distance students, including a non-refundable R2 525 registration fee. NSFAS-funded students are exempt, and if NSFAS shows you as provisionally funded you can register without paying. Pay after accepting your final offer, ideally in December or January.
