What this is

VarsityStart is an independent, anonymous question-and-answer service for students. It is not run by, affiliated with or endorsed by any university. Answers are other people's opinions and experience, not official advice. For anything that matters (deadlines, fees, appeals), check the official source linked on the university's info page.

Please do not post

• Harassment, hate speech, threats or content that targets a person.
• Personal details about anyone (names, phone numbers, student numbers, addresses).
• Anything illegal, sexually explicit, or that promotes cheating or plagiarism.
• Adverts, spam or repeated links.

Moderation

Posts are reviewed before they appear. We may reject, edit, hide or remove any post, and we may change or stop the service at any time. You can report a post with the Report button.

If you are in crisis

This site is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, call the SADAG suicide crisis line on 0800 567 567 (24 hours, free) or your campus crisis line.

Comments on places and events

Comments describe your own experience and stick to facts. Do not make accusations about named people, and do not post anything you cannot stand behind. If you own or run a place or event listed here and want something corrected or removed, contact us and we will review it promptly.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting you let us show it on the site. You can delete it any time with your manage link.

No warranty

The service and the information on it are provided as is. We try to keep the info pages accurate and link every fact to its source, but dates, fees and contacts change, so confirm before you act.
