The UJSRC is a central council plus four campus SRCs of ten members each, elected by students every year before the end of October. The 2026 vote ran online from 9 to 11 September, with new members inducted from 24 to 26 November. Candidates must be returning students in a state-subsidised programme with no disciplinary record. Election queries go to the election committee office on your campus or Student Affairs. Source: UJ SRC elections page and constitution.
