IT: logging in, wifi and help

User ID is your student number. First password is based on your RSA ID or passport number followed by "@Nwu". Change it after first login; it expires every 90 days.
Wifi: NWUWIFI with your student number and password ("NWU Visitor" is a temporary option). eduroam is also supported; sign in as studentnumber@nwu.ac.za, which differs from your mail address.
Email: studentnumber@mynwu.ac.za. eFundi is the learning platform.
Free software: site licences include Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive), and Citrix virtual desktops give access to specialised lab software.
Help: log a ticket at support.nwu.ac.za. Student IT service desk 018 299 2700. Walk-in service is Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 (not weekends or public holidays) at Mahikeng, Potchefstroom and Vanderbijlpark.
