Safety and emergencies

Researched by the VarsityStart team from official university sources. Last checked 10 October 2026. How we check

We still found no published TUT emergency number for students on each campus. Pretoria campus's Campus Protection Services control room appears in TUT's staff directory as 012 382 5101 / 012 382 5102. Police: 10111. TUT's general line is 086 110 2421 (general@tut.ac.za); its Ethics Hotline, 0800 006 924, is not a safety line. Ask your campus or residence for its security number when you arrive, and save it.
