My UCT status says "continue if SUPP/DE passed". Should I appeal before my supp? Asking for the official answer. (Common question, answered from official sources.)

UCT's SUPP form tells students with this status to submit a pre-emptive appeal by the published faculty deadline. The RAC only considers it if the FEC confirms your exclusion after the supplementary or deferred results. UCT warns that if you do not submit by the deadline and are then excluded, you get no chance to appeal that round and the exclusion stands for the year. If you pass, the appeal is not needed.
