Disability Services sits within PsyCaD. Register first, then submit a concession application. Accommodation only applies once the Concessions Committee has approved it and you have your concessions letter. Contact: disabilityunit@uj.ac.za.

Deadlines: UJ pages give 25 April (first semester) and 25 September (second semester). Confirm with the unit, because the PsyCaD tip sheet only says to ask for the closing dates.
Reports: a practitioner's report may need updating, and a new assessment is needed if the report is more than 2 years old or lacks the required assessments. Comprehensive evaluations take time, so start early.
Decision: the Concessions Committee decides the extra time, not your practitioner. You can appeal within 2 months of the decision.
Renewal: the tip sheet is unclear on whether you re-apply every year, so ask the unit.
