Yes, after at least one academic year you can apply for the same degree with a new application, or for a different degree. You must be in good standing, and the faculty considers your record of failures. If you want to change degree in the year of exclusion you need special permission from the Dean of the faculty you are applying to. Health Sciences students apply to the Special Cases Committee. If you are not readmitted you may be allowed to register as an occasional student for courses that count towards your degree. Source: Wits readmissions booklet 2025/2026.
