Academic support

• Ncedana is a peer mentoring programme that CHERTL started in 2021, giving first-years academic, social and emotional support across faculties.
• A compulsory Life at University workshop series introduces campus support services, mental health and gender-based violence awareness.
• The Trojan Academic Initiative is part of the Extended curriculum and uses former Extended Studies students as mentors. Extended Studies also runs a tutor programme, with training at the start of the year and mid-year feedback.
• We did not find published supplementary exam rules for Rhodes, so ask your department.
