Registration and O-Week
- 2026 pattern: online registration opened 30 January from 18:00, and first-time entering students came to campus on 31 January or 1 February between 07:00 and 15:00. If you have problems online you can register in Makhanda on the stipulated dates. Online registration needs an offer accepted on ROSS ("Yes, I am coming"), the initial payment and your acceptance letter.
- Bring: your letter of acceptance, ID or passport, original NSC/IEB/A-level/IGCSE results, proof of initial fee clearance and, where possible, proof of online registration.
- International students also need clearance through Global Engagement. The FAQ mentions medical aid cover for the full calendar year.
- O-Week includes administrative registration, a welcome from the VC and SRC president, compulsory first-year sessions, Deans' faculty talks and academic orientation. Curriculum approval for first-years takes place at the end of O-Week with academic staff.
