In UJ's appeals process document, E6 and F5 are time-based warnings for master's and doctoral students. E6 is a warning with a one-year extension when you reach the maximum period of your degree, and F5 is a final warning with a six-month extension. Beyond that the faculty may consider 7F exclusion. This comes from a template annexure, so ask your faculty and supervisor how it applies to you.
