IT: wifi and logging in

Researched by the VarsityStart team from official university sources. Last checked 10 October 2026. How we check

Wifi: the TUKS network (or eduroam) on all campuses and in residences, using your portal password. We could not confirm the exact network name on a current page, so check it with UP IT.
Free Office 365: UP students can download Office 365 Pro Plus by logging a request on the SMAX service portal (upsmax.up.ac.za).
clickUP: username is a lowercase "u" followed by your student number (for example u12345678). First login password is your ID or passport number, then your UP Portal password.
The same password works for the UP Portal, clickUP and wifi. If you change it, forget the TUKS network on your devices and log in again.
