Wits has dozens of clubs and societies (political, academic, business, social, cultural and religious, plus school councils) and over 20 active sports clubs. Register through the Self-Service portal. Enquiries: enquiries.SGO@wits.ac.za, (011) 717 9206. Gateway to Success includes exposure to clubs and sport.

Fees and deadline: fees can be debited from your student account only until the end of March. After that you pay cash at the Fees Office. Cancellation requests are due by 31 March.
Sports clubs listed: netball, basketball, rugby, hockey, cricket, football, aquatics, boat, boxing, chess, fencing, gymnastics, karate, mountain, orienteering, snow ski, squash, table tennis, tai chi, tang soo do, tennis, ultimate frisbee, cheerleading, volleyball, e-sport, yacht and water polo. Contact the club committee or sports officer to ask about trials.
