The Student Counselling Centre is on the top floor of the Steve Biko Building, Prince Alfred Road. It's open 08:00–17:00; walk in or phone to book.

Cost and length: counselling is free, confidential and short-term, by appointment. A crisis session is about 20 minutes. No limit on sessions is published.
After hours: ER24 on 010 205 3068 (16:30 to 08:00 and weekends). Another page lists the psychologist on call as 082 803 0177, so save both.
