On Lucas Avenue, opposite the Campus Protection Unit. A nurse-led primary care clinic with a doctor available on weekdays. Book on ROSS, call 046 603 8523 or email healthcarecentre@ru.ac.za. Treatment of minor ailments, long-term care for chronic conditions and voluntary HIV testing are free. Admission to the Centre is free for all students. The doctor's consultation is charged at about half the private rate to your student account. After hours, Rhodes uses ER24 for 24/7 emergency assistance and trauma counselling.

Cost detail: minor ailments are free, vaccinations cost a small amount, and the doctor's consultation is about half the private rate (one page gives about R240, which may be out of date).
