Assessment concessions and disability

Apply on SUNStudent once registered: log in at student.sun.ac.za, then Request, Raise request, Exam Concession Request.

• 2027 window: applications for test and assessment concessions run 11 January to 22 February 2027 per the almanac (one SU page shows 12 January to 23 February, so check). We did not find the 2027 second-semester window; in 2026 it was 20 July to 3 August.
• Documents: combine all medical or psychological reports and the Practitioner's Form into one PDF, and upload your matric certificate or SU results.
• Changed programme? Email concessions@sun.ac.za with your new registration letter.
• Decisions are binding. Tell the Disability Unit immediately if anything changes, for example you no longer need extra time or a separate venue.
• Concessions include extra writing time, a scribe, reading assistance or a braille room. The Disability Unit is at Simon Nkoli House, 39 Victoria Street (disability@sun.ac.za).
