Yes. If you were excluded and also granted a supplementary assessment, the Academic Regulations (AR 7.3.2) say you must write the supplementary exam and also submit an appeal. UJ warns that passing the supplementary should not make you expect the exclusion to be lifted. Do both, and do not skip the appeal because you expect to pass.
