Libraries and study spaces

Researched by the VarsityStart team from official university sources. Last checked 10 October 2026. How we check

Hours differ per library. One published schedule listed the Commerce and Education libraries open 08:00 to 23:00 on weekdays and 14:00 to 20:00 on Sundays. That page is old, so check the current hours page. Libraries close on public holidays, and electronic resources are available around the clock to registered students.
Borrowing: you need a valid student card. Undergraduates have borrowed 6 books for 7 days (renewable), with short, overnight and weekend loans for selected material. Fines have been 50c a day for open-shelf books.
Study rooms: focus and study rooms are bookable online. The Wartenweiler Library has an Open Learning Area and a 24-hour study room, and the Research Commons is for postgraduate students.
